Not sure where people are getting the idea I think it's necessary to get 20 before promoting, it's all good fun. I also think it'll be fun to see a pumped up Birdman whoop on some Torch Eyes and the like, or other shenanigans. This time I thought I'd try something different.

Cool new outfits! Weow!) or like a few others posted around/during Dragonia in the low/mid teens. In past play throughs, I ended up promoting either very early (Chapter 1. Why Promote at 20? Well, I've never done it before, and that seems as good a reason as any. StHA is the only Shining game where I recall that seems to require grinding ASAP at one point (the sewers/first temple or whatever it's called after you talk to old some old wise man). But I doubt more than one, OK, maybe two, egrees per specific battle).
Shining force exa ancient ruined temple series#
So if I would of started the series with SF1, I most likely would of had a couple of grinding spots. So I consider myself lucky in a way to of started with that one. (though, I find the 2D SF games harder on first timers than SF3, personally. played it a couple of times with a fresh memory of it) + the option is aways there whenever you do need it = perfect SRPG. Luckily none of the SF games require any grinding to stand a desent chance if you know what your doing (ie. though level grinding to an extent on a first playthrough of a series can be fun, no doubt, just not overkill). I much rather just playthrough uninterupted with a fair challange and maximum absortion in the games word, story & characters.
Shining force exa ancient ruined temple pro#
Not because I'm all pro and what not, just because I hate unecessary level grinding, since I find it kills the replay value hardcore (I mean, I don't look forward to playing an RPG if it forces you to grind to stand a chance. I don't grind nor promote late at all either (I promote right away).
